GUATEMALA CITY (Reuters) – Guatemala’s Attorney General Maria Porras on Friday dismissed the head of the anti-corruption unit, accusing Juan Francisco Sandoval, chief of the Special Prosecutor’s Office Against Impunity (FECI), of frequent abuses and undermining her work.
“Given the imminent lack of trust in the relationship, today his employment is terminated,” the Attorney General’s office said in a statement.
