KANSAS CITY, MO (WKZO AM/FM) – Jorge Soler had three hits and hit two home runs as the Kansas Royals tamed the Detroit Tigers 6-1 Sunday afternoon.
Salvador Perez also had a solo home run for Kansas City. Daniel Lynch pitched eight scoreless innings to get the win for the Royals, who have won five games.
Eric Haase prevented the shutout by driving in a run in the ninth for the Tigers.
Tarik Skubal gave up five runs over five innings to take the loss for Detroit, which has lost three straight.
The Tigers visit the Minnesota Twins tonight.
