MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers lost to the Minnesota Twins 6-5 in 10 innings last night in Minneapolis.
Miguel Cabrera inched closer to a milestone after swatting his 495th career home run. Robbie Grossman tied the game 5-5 with a two run homer in the top of the ninth.
Max Kepler singled in the winning run in the last of the 10th inning. Josh Donaldson and Brent Rooker homered for Minnesota.
Gregory Soto was tagged with the loss. Detroit is looking to put the brakes on a four-game losing skid tonight. Tyler Alexander gets the nod for the Tigers while the Twins send Kenta Maeda to the mound. The opening pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. EDT.
