LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Census data from the federal government will allow the state Independent Citizens Redistricting Committee to begin the process of redrawing congressional districts in Michigan.
The census data is preliminary, and verification is not expected until the end of September, but committee members are expecting to begin re-doing the maps next week.
The Committee has also hired counsel to deal with any lawsuits that may occur because of the redistricting.
