PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State Police say a 35-year-old construction worker from Grand Rapids was killed Friday evening after being struck by a semi-tractor trailer on I-94 in Van Buren County.
Troopers say Reason Tillman-Morgan was operating a crane conducting bridge work on westbound I-94 at County Road 653. Tillman-Morgan attempted to jump from the construction equipment prior to it being struck by a westbound semi-truck. The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Tillman-Morgan was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the semi suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The crash remains under investigation.
