WILLIAMSPORT, PA (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan is home to the Little League World Series champions for the first time since 1959.
The Taylor North Little League team defeated the Hamilton, Ohio team 5-2 on Sunday to win the Little League World Series. Taylor North’s Jackson Surma led the way with four RBIs and Ethan Van Belle limited Hamilton’s offense with eight strikeouts.
Hamilton had the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning with two outs, but a fly out to center field ended the game.
Last year’s Little League World Series was canceled due to COVID-19.
