ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Lions have placed quarterback Tim Boyle and defensive end Da’Shawn Hand on injured reserve. Boyle is expected to miss several weeks after undergoing surgery on a broken thumb. Hand is dealing with a groin injury and will not be eligible to play until Week Four. To fill the roster spots, Detroit re-signed tight end Darren Fells and safety Dean Marlowe.
