Marilyn Ann Jepson, 81 of Coldwater passed away Thursday, September 09, 2021 at Munson Hospital in Traverse City.
A graveside funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Mark Case of California Community Church officiating. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Marilyn was born October 4, 1939 to Frederick and Lois (Cook) Doolittle in Coldwater, which are preceded in death. Marilyn focused her young life around raising her three daughters and being a good wife and mother, and later a grandmother. She married Bill Butters and he preceded her in death. She later met and married Bill Clawson who also preceded her in death. On February 22, 1993 she married Ralph Jepson in Coldwater. He also preceded her in death on May 17, 2001. Marilyn was a member of the Twins Mother’s Club and The Eagles Club. She enjoyed traveling to visit each daughter and grandchildren throughout the years and stopping at every Crackle Barrel in route. She loved growing flowers, baking and cooking. Her later years she enjoyed her winters in Lake Wales Florida.
Marilyn is survived by her children Gina (Tommy) LaPan of Kalkaska, MI, Lori (L.D.) Van Amburg of Sabastian FL, and Dori (Steve) Mitchell of Kalkaska, MI. Her brothers Frederick (Harriet) Doolittle and David (Mary) Doolittle all of Tekonsha; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, nieces & nephews and a very loving significant other of 16 years; Jerry Carpenter of Mancelona, MI.
