ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Lions corner Jeff Okudah will miss the remainder of the 2021 season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Okudah was injured in the fourth quarter during Sunday’s loss to San Francisco. He lands on season-ending injured reserve for the second straight year.
In his rookie season in 2020 Okudah appeared in only nine games before having surgery for a core muscle injury.
Lions receiver Tyrell Williams is in concussion protocol after he was injured during the season opening loss to San Francisco Sunday. Williams left the game after a helmet-to-helmet hit in the third quarter.
Detroit will also be without left tackle Taylor Decker through at least the end of the month after he underwent surgery on an injured finger.
