COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals scored on all five first half possessions as they romped to a 45-6 victory Friday night over Jackson Northwest in their Purple Week game.
Friday was the football team’s turn to help raise money in the fight against cancer.
The Cardinals scored early and often on Friday night.
Cam Torres rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries while Tyson Roby had 69 yards rushing and a TD.
Other Cardinal TD’s were scored by Garret Thorne, Gage Rogers and Aiden Marsden.
Braden Boyd booted a 23-yard field goal.
Roby and Cole Barker led the defense with six tackles apiece.
The Cardinals had 490 yards of total offense including 423 on the ground. The Cardinals are now 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the Interstate 8. They will play at Marshall next Friday.
