BATTLE CREEK. MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team stayed undefeated in the Interstate 8 Conference with a 7-0 win at Pennfield Tuesday night.
Mukhtar Abdulla had three goals, while Amine Mohammed had two goals and two assists, as Coldwater improved to 2-0-1 in the conference and 6-4-2 overall.
Naj Norman had one goal and one assist, with Brayden Boyd scoring the final goal. Joseph Closson had two assists, with one each from Ahmed Omar and Asa Marc.
Bauston Feldbauer made three saves in goal to earn the shutout. The Cardinals outshot Pennfield 22-7.
Marshall leads the Interstate 8 Conference at 3-0-1, after beating Parma Western 2-1 Tuesday, to hand the Panthers their first loss of the season.
Coldwater will host Parma Western Thursday, with rescheduled Purple Game introductions before the varsity contest. The junior varsity game will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the varsity around 6:30 p.m.
There was no junior varsity contest against Pennfield.
