Pamela Jackowiak, 79, of Greenville and formerly of Bronson passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Golden Life Adult Foster Care in Greenville while under hospice care.
A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home of Bronson with Rev. David Elmore of Bronson United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at Sherwood Cemetery.
Pamela was born May 26, 1942 to Ferman and Madge (Trexler) Himes in Coldwater. She was a 1960 Bronson High School graduate. Pamela was a hardworking woman, working at different companies over the years, but most recently was Kirsch Company in Sturgis. On April 22, 1993 she married John Jackowiak, Jr. in Battle Creek. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2001.
Pamela was an avid reader and a frequent guest at the Bronson Library. She also enjoyed spending time fishing, knitting, and taking the occasional trip to the casino.
Pamela will be remembered for her quick wit, her intelligence, while being outspoken, honest, and loyal.
Mrs. Jackowiak is survived by her children Gregory (Deb) Wiler of Sturgis, Kelli (Trisha) Ocha-Wiler of Belding, Robert (Sarah) Wiler of Iowa, and Darby (Ann) Wiler of Virginia; her brother Nick Himes of Bronson; seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and her Yorkie “Rags”.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ned Himes, and her sister Rueann Hyska.
