Gerald G. Gentry, 89, of Coldwater passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case of California Community Church officiating.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 pm. A private burial will take place at Mason Cemetery at a later date.

Gerald was born March 25, 1932 to Marion and Marjorie (Camp) Gentry in Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada. He was a Coldwater High School graduate and took some college courses. Gerald started working at Southern Michigan Band & Trust and worked there his entire career. He retired in 1991 as a Vice President.
On July 4, 1990 he married Joyce Osburn in Coldwater. Together they made many memories.
Gerald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard for 9 plus years as an Infantryman in the Co. A 126th Infantry Regiment.
Gerald enjoyed the outdoors and camping. After retirement he started farming, which included growing hay and raising horses. He was very involved in the Branch County Fair, serving on the Board amongst many other activities. Gerald liked attending horse pulling events. He was a past member of the Coldwater Eagles.
Gerald will be remembered for being a thoughtful, loving, and wonderful man to many.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joyce Gentry of Coldwater; his step-children Cindy (Donald) Hicks of Sherwood, Edward (Amy) DeLisle, and Greg (Lisa) DeLisle all of Union City; his brother Gordon Gentry of Coldwater; his sister Arlene Hendrickson of Tucson, AZ; his grandchildren Nathan (Terry) Kiefer, Katelynn Collyer, Kayley, Emily, Addyson, Kayla, Nicholas, and Braydon DeLisle; his great grandchildren Kyley, Madison, and Kale Kiefer; his nieces Anita (Walt) Griffin, Lisa Royal, and Patti (Lex) Morrison; his cousin Stan (Sandy) Gentry; and his dog “Sally”.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Mary Gentry.
