More details have been reported by news outlets regarding a triple homicide that took place in Windsor Township over the weekend.
The case concerns 23-year-old Daniel James Sougstad, who is accused of murdering three people Friday night before fleeing the area. He was later apprehended over the weekend in Ingham County without further incident.
According to a report from WOOD TV Monday, the victims are all said to have been family members of Sougstad. Their identities have not been released at this time.
Police are said to have received a 911 call for an unknown reason, which was later found to be from the house where the victims were killed. Shortly after that call was made, another was received from a neighbor, who said a child had shown up complaining about a foot injury.
The caller also said they heard gunshots and screaming from the house next door.
Sougstad is currently held without bond on charges relating to felony firearm and open murder.
The shooting remains under investigation, and police say more information will be released at a later time.
