Dixie L. Hoard, 83, of Coldwater, formerly of Bronson, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Masonville Place in Coldwater.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor David Thompson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Bronson Cemetery where Dixie and Philip will be laid to rest together.

Dixie was born January 29th, 1938 in Sturgis, Michigan to Mark and Ina (Nutt) Kehoe. She married Philip H. Hoard on February 2, 1957 in Bronson, Michigan. He preceded her in death August 19, 2021.
Dixie was a very dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. Her greatest joy came from taking care of her family. She loved to cook, host large family meals, and keep track of the family’s finances. Dixie had also worked for Douglas Manufacturing, Federal Mogul and Branch’s Department Store.
Dixie and Philip were married for 64 years and during those years they were truly a team and inseparable. She was a member of Texas Corners Bible Church, an avid reader, and enjoyed Bible study groups. Dixie and Philip lived in Port Orange, Florida for 6 years and when Philip retired they returned to Michigan. She loved returning to the sunshine state during the winter to visit friends and family.
Dixie is survived by her children Karie (David) Gilbert of Coldwater, Kaniah (Paul) Wanar of Coldwater, Kalon (Laura) Hoard of Deland, Florida; her grandchildren Jenna (Nick) Dennany, Jonathan Tackwell, Amber (Jeremy) Knox, Ashley (Rick) Hewitt, Austin (MacKenzie) Wanar, Adrian Wanar, Aaron Hoard, Maura Hoard; her great grandchildren Rowan, Colton, Jensen, Eli, Jocelyn and Casey.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Abigail Hoard.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family and will be forwarded to Masonville Place in Coldwater.
