EAST LANSING, MI — Two former Michigan State University players are among 18 former NAB players charged with defrauding the NBA’s health-benefit plan.
Former MSU stars Alan Anderson and Shannon Brown have been charged and are accused of roughly 740-thousand dollars of fraud for fake claims for chiropractic services. In all, federal prosecutors say the group defrauded millions of dollars from the NBA health plan.
In addition, former Detroit Piston Will Bynum and Detroit Cass Tech and Detroit Northwestern’s Chris Douglas-Roberts were among the former NBA players charged in the fraud.
