UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City girls volleyball team wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday night by going 1-2 in a quad meet they hosted at McNett Fieldhouse.
The Chargers defeated Waldron 25-12, 25-4 but lost to Jonesville 26-24, 18-25, 23-25, 25-18, 9-15 and to Kalamazoo Loy Norrix 20-25, 18-25, 15-25.
In the three matches, Kassandra Kohsmann had 17 kills for the Chargers while Jordan Chard had 57 assists, Megann Russell served seven aces and had four blocked shots and Jayda Risner had 45 digs.
Union City will face Bronson in the opening round of the M.H.S.A.A. Division Three District Tournament at Quincy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday night.
