ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions are still in search of their first win of the season as they host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Corners Jerry Jacobs and A.J. Parker did not practice yesterday due to injuries.
Detroit will induct former linebacker Chris Spielman into the Pride of the Lions during halftime. Spielman played eight seasons with Detroit from 1988-95 and now works in the team’s front office.
Lions special teams coordinator Dave Fipp has tested positive for COVID-19. Fipp says he is hoping to get two negative tests before Sunday so he can be on the sidelines for the game against Philadelphia.
Assistant special teams coach Jett Modkins and head coach Dan Campbell will take over for Fipp if he cannot return this weekend.
