DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera is issuing a public plea to former ace pitcher Justin Verlander to return.
Cabrera commented on Verlander’s Instagram video of being greeted by his daughter after a workout by saying “Come back to you familia the D.”
Both star players will be 39 next year and the Tiger first baseman says he will retire after his contract is done in 2023.
The Astros’ Verlander missed this season as he recovered from Tommy John surgery and is a free agent.
