STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – A ten point buck smashed through a window at a church on the north side of Sturgis Monday morning on the opening day of the firearms deer season.
When three members of the Grace Sturgis church arrived on Monday, they found signs of a breaking and entering. But when they went to the church auditorium, they found the deer on a stairway going up to the balcony.
A video posted on the church Facebook page showed the scared animal trying to find a way out. It finally went down the stairs and out the window it smashed to get inside. There was some damage to the building and the pastors were a little traumatized.
But the church Facebook post said the buck “left strengthened in the Lord to go face his battles.”
