QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council approved over $53,000 for the village’s share to the Quincy Fire Association for 2022 on Tuesday night.
The Fire Association is made up of the Village of Quincy as well as Algansee and Quincy Townships.
They each pay a share into the association. The amount of money paid is based on population.
Quincy Village Manager Brittany Butler said during the Village Council’s workshop on December 7 that the fire department was in need of new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus equipment.
Butler was checking to see if American Rescue Plan funds can be used to cover the Village’s portion of the cost for the new S.C.B.A. equipment which comes out to about $69,000.
Butler reported to the Village County on Tuesday night that they were still seeking clarification on the use of A.R.P. funds.
