BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s Lady Cardinals evened their record at 2-2 with a hard fought 32-25 victory at Battle Creek Central on Tuesday night.
Coldwater held a slim 26-25 lead after three quarters but managed to hold the Bearcats scoreless in the final quarter.
Freshman Elli Foley led the way with her first career double/double as she scored 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Foley also had two assists and two steals.
Jaelah Sloan added five points and six rebounds while Anna DeMeester and Elli Anderson each grabbed six boards.
A’Mya Hodges led Battle Creek Central with 16 points.
Coldwater returns to action on January 4 when they host the Okemos Chiefs.

In boys basketball on Tuesday night, Bronson won at Bellevue 45-40 as the Vikings evened their record at 2-2. After four straight road games to start the season, the Vikings will be home next Tuesday night when they’ll host Prairie Heights.
