COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Police are investigating a pair of break-ins that took place during the overnight hours of Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Police think two suspects were involved in the break-ins at the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center at 89 West Chicago and at Karim Healthcare at 605 West Chicago.
Long time local musician Delbert Walling says his teaching studio at the Coach Eby Center was burglarized and that two people walked out of with his one of a kind hand built Telecaster Guitar.
Walling said in a post on his Facebook page, “It has a Paduak and curly maple top. A walnut back. An all Birdseye maple neck and fingerboard, Fender noiseless single coil pickups, solid wooden control knobs and nice tuners with root beer colored tuner buttons. It was in a nice DiPinto gig bag. I had this guitar built over 15 years ago and it is a very special guitar and very recognizable. If you see this guitar or hear someone talking about it, please notify the Coldwater City Police.”
The suspects stole several other items from the Eby Center including computers, gaming equipment and donated food. They also tore out some doors and caused other damage in the building.
Anyone with information can call Coldwater Police at (517) 278-4525.
