LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Sunday, Michigan Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Lt. Governor made the announcement via Twitter.
“I currently have no symptoms, and I’m grateful that being vaccinated protects against serious illness,” Gilchrist wrote. “I encourage everyone to keep doing all they can to keep each other safe.”

Last week, Governor Gretchen Whitmer had announced that she was isolating after her husband tested positive for the virus.
On January 5, Governor Whitmer said she had received a negative test result.
