STURGIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Sturgis turned up items related to producing fake checks and identification cards during a search warrant.
It happened on Thursday, January 13, when the Sturgis Department of Public Safety conducted a search warrant in the 400 block of East Congress Street after investigating a string of fake checks being cashed across several counties.
Authorities say the suspect had already been arrested on Wednesday, January 12, on multiple warrants for similar incidents.
The Sturgis Department of Public Safety plans to request more charges through the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.
