COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors decided during a special meeting Monday afternoon to enter into negotiations with Paul Jakubczak to be the next Coldwater BPU Director.
The Board interviewed Jakubczak for nearly an hour last Tuesday and members expressed satisfaction with his answers during Monday’s meeting.
Board Member Travis Machan, City Attorney Megan Angell and Nicki Luce from the CBPU were named to a three person committee to negotiate a contract with Jakubczak.
Angell gave some guidance as to what should be included in the negotiations.
He is a native of Chicago who has spent the last seven years serving as the Director of Electric & Gas Systems in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Jakubczak has over 20 years of experience in Public Power and has been employed by the cities of Gastonia, North Carolina, Rock Falls, Illinois, and Crawfordsville, Indiana.
