BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Public Health Department says they have received a surplus of KN95 face masks which will be distributed throughout Calhoun County starting on Friday.
The Public Health Department has partnered with community service organizations and churches in distributing the free masks.
Health officials say the high-filtration masks, such as KN95s, provide greater protection against the omicron COVID-19 variant.
The CDC updated its mask guidance last week and recommended that residents wear properly-fitted N95 and KN95 masks.

Office hours for both locations are, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1- 4:30 p.m.; and Friday, 8 a.m.-Noon.
