READING, MI (WTVB) – Bronson jumped out to a 20-7 lead after the first quarter and withstood a rally by Reading as the Vikings edged the Rangers 56-55 on Saturday afternoon in a Big 8 Conference girls basketball game.
Freshman Haylie Wilson led the Vikings with 23 points which included four buckets from beyond the arc.
Aubree Calloway had 17 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Aubree Ervans had 18 points for Reading.
The Vikings have won three straight games and are now 12-7 overall. They finished 11-3 and in second place in the Big 8 Conference.
Also in the Big 8 on Saturday, Union City lost at Concord 63-33. The Chargers are 3-14 overall and 1-12 in the conference.
