BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The host Pennfield Panthers ended their 12-game losing streak with a 45-33 victory over visiting Coldwater on Tuesday night.
The Cardinals led 14-11 after the first but a 16-2 Pennfield second quarter spelled doom as Coldwater dropped their fourth consecutive league game while dropping to 10-9 overall and 6-7 in conference play.
Elli Foley led Coldwater with eight points. Cara Miller had four points and a career high eight rebounds.
The Cardinals will host Harper Creek on Friday night when they honor their six seniors.
Pennfield improves to 5-14 overall and 2-11 in league play.
Also in girls basketball on Tuesday night, Bronson won their fourth straight game as they defeated Constantine 58-26. The Vikings finished the regular season at 13-7.
