BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – It was a rough night on the hardwood for Branch County’s representatives in the Big 8 Conference.
Quincy lost at league co-leader Concord 56-31, to drop the Orioles’ record to 4-14 overall, 2-11 in the Big 8. Ashtyn Morris had a team-high 9 points and 5 rebounds. And Union City fell at Homer 71-37; the Chargers dropped to 8-10 overall, 5-8 in the Big 8.
Bronson was able to get a road win at Reading, 56-47. The Vikings improved to 10-9 overall, 7-6 in the Big 8. Elsewhere, co-leader Jonesville powered past winless Springport 63-38.
With Concord and Jonesville tied atop the league at 10-3, and with Reading and Homer a game back at 9-4, it should make for a wild final night of league competition next Tuesday:

- Union City at Concord
- Quincy at Homer
- Reading at Jonesville
