DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Minnesota Wild overcame a two-goal deficit in their 6-5 shootout win over the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena Thursday night.
After Lucas Raymond scored his second goal of the night to put Detroit up 4-2, the Wild rattled off three straight goals from Mats Zuccarello, Matt Boldy, and Kirill Kaprizov to go up by one. Jordan Oesterle tied the game with under three minutes left in regulation, but Minnesota locked up the win with a 2-0 advantage in the shootout.
Boldy scored twice for the Wild, and Joel Eriksson Ek also lit the lamp. Minnesota has won its last two games.
Raymond and Jakub Vrana each had a pair of goals for the Red Wings, who have lost four straight.
The Red Wings open a four-game road trip against the Flames in Calgary tomorrow night.
