GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – More dramatic testimony underway at the trial of four men accused of plotting to kidnap Michigan’s governor.
An FBI informant who helped build the government’s case is testifying today in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids.
In testimony yesterday Special Agent Mark Schweers testified he infiltrated the group by pretending to be against COVID restrictions.
Schweers says he took direction from the plot’s mastermind, Adam Fox, which included being told to conduct a surveillance mission of Whitmer’s summer home on Mackinac Island.
