COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education gave Superintendent Terry Ann Whelan an overall evaluation rating of “highly effective” for the 2021-2022 school year Monday night.
They voted to extend her contract as Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer by one year to June 30, 2025.
They took the action after meeting in a closed session.
Whelan has been the Coldwater Community Schools Superintendent since August of 2015. She was the Chief Financial Officer at the time she was appointed to the position when Doctor Tina Kerr left to take a job with the Michigan Association of School Administrators.
Before becoming the district’s CFO in June of 2014, Whelan was the Superintendent of the Coloma school system between 2002 and 2014. She also was Superintendent of the Inkster School district and had been the Coldwater school district’s business manager from 1996 to 1998.
