DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) -The Detroit Red Wings snapped their six game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the Boston Bruins Tuesday night.
Boston opened the scoring with the first two goals of the game. Erik Haula and Brandon Carlo each scored in the first period.
The Red Wings would cut the deficit in half before the end of the opening frame after Dylan Larkin scored his 30th of the year. Detroit then got goals from Michael Rasmussen, Filip Zadina, and Jakub Vrana to build a two-goal lead.
Patrice Bergeron got the Bruins back within one, but Sam Gagner scored an empty-netter to clinch the win for the Red Wings.
Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic made 47 saves and had an assist for Detroit.
The Red Wings are right back at it tonight with a trip to Winnipeg to take on the Jets.
