MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WKZO AM/FM) – The Minnesota Twins have their longest winning streak in over a decade.
They scored four runs in the fifth inning to take down the Detrot Tigers 7-1 at Target Field Thursday afternoon.
Carlos Correa went three-for-five with three RBI, and Gio Urshela also had three hits.
Cody Stashak picked up his first win of the season out of the bullpen, and Griffin Jax pitched three innings of relief to earn the save. The Twins have won seven games in a row.
Tarik Skubal fell to 1-and-2 after giving up six runs, three unearned, in five innings of work.
The Tigers have lost their last five contests. They visit the Los Angeles Dodgers starting tonight.
