BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Two dogs were saved from a house fire on Monday, May 2, thanks to the quick actions of Battle Creek Firefighters.
The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 16 West Burnham Street at around 2:49 p.m. with the first crew arriving on scene in three minutes.
Upon arrival, smoke and flames were seen from the second floor of the structure.
Multiple crews battle the fire from both top to bottom and got the fire under control within eight minutes.
Fire crews searched the residence and found no occupants home at the time of the fire. However, two dogs were safety rescued.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshal. No other injuries were reported.
