BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – All Kellogg Community College operations will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning after a ransomware attack.
College officials announced the reopening on Tuesday and thanked their Information, Research and Technology team for their efforts over the last few days.
The investigation into the incident continues with the support of independent advisors but officials feel great progress in restoration efforts have been made and the third-party experts have confirmed that KCC’s systems are safe and secure to interact with.
KCC initiated a forced password reset for all staff and students. Now, due to the progress we have made in system restoration, all parties who had their passwords reset will be able to set a new password as well as set up multi-factor authentication in order to securely access the Kellogg Community College online system.

For those who would like in-person assistance with this, on-campus support will be available Wednesday at the North Avenue campus from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
KCC officials do not anticipate they will need to extend the semester beyond its current schedule.
