QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy hosted Bronson, Union City, and five other schools Friday for an occasionally rainy invitational track meet. Union City won the boys meet with 156 points, Quincy was second with 118, and Bronson was third with 108. Athens won the girls meet with 170.5 points, Quincy was runner-up with 154.5, Union City was third with 115, and Bronson was fifth with 36.
Winners for the Charger boys were Riley Laird in the 100m (:11.70) and 200m (:23.88), Jason Shoop in the 1600m (5:10.86) and 3200m (11:08.32), Nathaniel Maurer in the 300 hurdles (:43.03), Logan Cole in the shot put (41’2″) and discus (141’10”), Alex Hull in the pole vault (11’0″), and the 4×200 relay team (1:36.00). The Orioles’ winners included Landen Kelly in the 800m (2:13.92), Kaleb Handy in the 110m high hurdles (:18.80), Ethan Hollister in the long jump (17’7″), and the 4×100 (:48.03) relay team. The Viking winners were Boston Bucklin in the high jump (5’5″) and the 4×800 relay team (9:40.48).
For the Quincy girls, winners included Raigen Horsfall in the shot put (37’1″), Sophia Snellenberger in the discus (134’11”), Nikkia Cronk in the long jump (4’6″), and Flo Vito in the pole vault (8’0″), along with the 4×400 (4:42.53) and 4×800 (11:57.59) relay teams. Winning for Union City were Kassandra Kohsman in the 100m (:13.51) and the 4×100 (:53.99) and 4×200 (1:56.45) relay teams. Bronson’s winners were Sidney Swick in the 3200m (12:56.00) and Jaiden Hayes in the long jump (13’10.25″).

The Quincy High School campus will continue to be busy Saturday, as they will host baseball, softball, and girls soccer tournaments as part of its annual All-Sports Day.
