HOUSTON, TX (WKZO AM/FM) – Kyle Tucker delivered in the bottom of the ninth as the Houston Astros got the walk-off win over the Detroit Tigers 3-2 Thursday night.
Tucker hit a game-winning RBI single to secure the victory for Houston, which has won four straight.
Ryan Pressly earned the win, despite blowing a save in relief.
Jose Altuve and rookie Jeremy Peña each went deep as the Astros improved to 15-and-11.
Jeimer Candelario nearly sent the game into extra innings after hitting a two-run shot to tie the game in the top of the ninth.
Gregory Soto suffered the loss for Detroit, which fell to 8-and-16.
The Tigers have now dropped nine of their last 11 games.
The Tigers and Astros continue their series tonight in Houston. Beau Brieske will get the ball for Detroit still seeking his first career win. The Astros will counter with Luis Garcia.
