ORLANDO, FL (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Michigan State University basketball star Adreian Payne is dead at the age of 31.
Police said Payne was shot and killed in Orlando early Monday morning.
Payne was a 1,000 point scorer at Michigan State and gained national attention when he befriended a local girl who was battling cancer.
He was a first round pick for the Atlanta Hawks in 2015 before playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic.
