DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Zach Logue earned his second career win after tossing seven shutout innings in Oakland’s 9-0 rout of the Detroit Tigers Wednesday.
Logue scattered five hits and struck out six. Christian Bethancourt had three hits and drove in two runs in the victory.
The A’s have won three of their last four games.
Joey Wentz was charged with the loss in his big league debut after allowing six runs in two-and-two-thirds innings.
The Tigers have dropped eight of nine and are now 9-and-22. They close out their five series with the A’s this afternoon. The opening pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
