ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers were mauled 8-1 in a loss to the Tampa Bay Rays Tuesday night.
Beau Brieske allowed six runs in the loss. Kevin Kiermaier, Brett Phillips, and Randy Arozarena all homered for the Rays as they snapped Detroit’s four game winning streak.
Shane McClanahan fired seven innings of one-run ball as he moved to 3-and-2.
The Tigers fall to 13-and-24 on the season. They will wrap up their three game series at Tampa Bay this afternoon. The opening pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
