CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Calhoun County officials say the final bridge maintenance project for this construction season will start on Tuesday.
They say the bridge on 15 Mile Road over the Kalamazoo River, south of Michigan Avenue, will be closed for about a month during construction.
Detours will be posted while work is underway. The work will include guardrail replacement, concrete repair, repair to the approaches and a new HMA surface.
This work is being performed by a contractor, Grand River Construction, and funding is through the Michigan Department of Transportation’s Local Bridge Program.
This is not the only bridge project on 15 Mile Road.
MDOT will close the 15 Mile Road Bridge over I-94 from next Tuesday until the middle of November due to the I-94/I-69 interchange project.
