Susan was born November 30, 1956 in Frankfurt Germany to Lester and Jacqueline (Crahen) Parish. Her family moved with her father’s military transfers. In 1974, Susan graduated from Pine Forest High School in Spring Lake, NC.
On October 28, 1989, she married Michael K. McNulty, whom she’d been together with for many years. He survives.
Susan was employed as a medical assistant for 24 years at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, retiring in 2017.
Susan enjoyed getting dressed up and looking good, with her hair, makeup and nails done perfectly. She was undeniably prissy. In contrast, she had a brash side and could be blunt. Susan was a sassy, yet caring person who loved swimming with her grandkids, going out to dinner, and shopping. She also loved her music and dancing. Her large, extended family and special friends were very dear to her.
In addition to Mike, the love of her life for 45 years, Susan is survived by her children, Shannon Parish of Battle Creek, Stephanie (Ted) Yearling of Sherwood, Michael A. (Andrea) McNulty of Gaines and Sarah (Josh) Hicks of Union City; grandchildren, Savannah Parish, Skylar Parish, Sophie Parish, Sydney (Travis Gregory) Parish, Sage Yearling, Shelby Yearling, Austin Perkins, Justin Perkins, Max McNulty, Myleigh McNulty, Blake Hicks and Bryce Hicks; great-grandson, Tate Gregory; her mother, Jacqueline Parish of Oshkosh, WI; siblings, Jackie Parish and Randy (Kelly) Parish, both of Oshkosh, WI; mother-in-law, Maxine McNulty of Flushing; sisters-in-law, Pam McNulty of Flushing, Kim McNulty of Flushing, Carrie (Jeff) Hahn of Flushing and Julie (Larry Carrier) McNulty of Flint; and several special friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Susan was preceded in death by her father; brother, Lester “Bud” Parish, Jr.; grandsons, Nicholas Parish and Tyler McNulty; and father-in-law, Donald McNulty.
