BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Fire Department has been awarded a state grant of almost $4,000.
The funding came through the State of Michigan’s First Responder Training and Recruitment Grant program.
Officials say the funds will be used to reimburse the fire department for the cost of the medical first responder class that firefighters Don Rinehart and Travis Ferry successfully completed.
The department will also be reimbursed for the emergency medical technician class that Rinehart is currently attending.
The Bronson Fire Department is still recruiting new members.
