COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Sunshine and temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60’s contributed to a huge turnout in downtown Coldwater Saturday for the annual Strawberry Fest and Craft Show.
The event featured a record 150 vendors in the Four Corners parks, along both sides of Chicago Street from the Four Corners to Clay Street, and filling South Monroe Street from Chicago to Pearl streets.
Strawberry vendors did a brisk business, with quarts selling from $5.00 to $5.55 each. Many other vendors featured food made with strawberries.
Booths featured all types of clothing, crafts, handmade furniture, and more, with many local service clubs also having displays.
By midday the entire downtown area was packed with visitors. The event ran from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., and was coordinated by the City of Coldwater Recreation Department.

Too bad the farmers market can’t use Monroe street for 4 hours on a Saturday. Great location and a great drawing activity to the downtown. Haven’t heard a good reason why they can’t be there.
