UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Fireworks show is scheduled to take place this Sunday night, July 3, and the venue has been changed from the Middle School back to Union City High School.
The show is being hosted by the Union City Rotary Club.
Jason and Doug Counterman will be in charge of the Field Games.
The Alumni Field gates will open at 6:30 p.m. with the games start promptly at 7:00 p.m..
Donna Claar will be the emcee. A DJ will be present throughout the evening. Full concessions will be available including grilled hot dogs.
John Robertson will be singing the National Anthem while the American Legion Post 196 raises the flag.
The Rotary Drawings for the “Here’s the Meat” raffle will take pace at 9:30 p.m.. You need not be present to win one of the three meat packages.
The raffle is being sponsored by Southern Michigan Bank and Trust, Clemens Food Group and Countryside Quality Meats.
The fireworks will begin at 10:00 p.m.. Rotary members will ask for donations at the gate.
