ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an accident that occurred on Friday, July 8, at approximately 6:00 a.m.
Police say a 21-year-old male from Three Rivers was driving eastbound on Moorepark Rd near Stevens Ln, in Park Township, in a Nissan SUV.
The vehicle went off the right edge of the roadway and then over-corrected, veering off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then over-turned and struck a fence.
The driver sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
It was reported a possible mechanical issue was a factor in the crash.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Three Rivers and Fabius-Park Township Fire Departments.
