ROME (Reuters) – Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, looking to ease tensions within his broad coalition, said on Tuesday that many of the policy priorities of the 5-Star Movement overlapped with those of the government.
5-Star leader Giuseppe Conte said last week his group might quit the government if Draghi failed to enact a series of measures, including introducing a minimum wage.
Draghi told a news conference his cabinet would push ahead with implementing a minimum wage. He also reiterated that he would not remain in office if the 5-Star quit the coalition.
