KANSAS CITY, MO (WKZO AM/FM) – Miguel Cabrera drove in a pair of runs as the Detroit Tigers beat the Royals 7-5 in Kansas City last night.
Spencer Torkelson finished with three hits and drove in a run for Detroit. Beau Brieske earned the win after giving up three runs over six innings.
Andrew Benintendi drove in two runs for the Royals. Jose Cuas allowed four runs, but only one earned to take the loss for Kansas City.
The Tigers are 37-and-51. They wrap up their four game series at Kansas City this afternoon, with the first pitch scheduled for 2:10 p.m. EDT.
